As much as I loved my 2003 Dakota there were several recent incidents that caused me to begin the search for a new truck. 1) This deer season I attempted to load three deer into the bed of my Dakota and while they fit, it required way too much planning. The bed was simply too small. 2) In a recent trip pulling a 3000 pound trailer I failed to average 10MPG on the interstate going 65MPH. The Dakota transmission understandably couldn't pull the load in OD and OD Off resulted in almost 3000RPM which killed the mileage. 3) I am not a "racer" but I was absolutely smoked by a new Chevy Suburban recently. There's no excuse for a midsized truck with a V8 getting smoked by an SUV that massively outweighs it. I actually worked a deal on a 2008 Ram Quad Cab with a Hemi but backed out at the last minute. The Ram just didn't excite me and for that much money I deserve something that does. I test drove an F150 and instantly knew my next truck would be a Ford. After searching extensively for a new 2007 model (to maximize my deal as I bought in December 2007) I found this truck. The deal was excellent and I haven't looked back.

This truck replaced my 2003 Dodge Dakota which I dearly loved. It was a great truck to me and will serve it's next owner well to be sure. Here's a picture of the Dakota..
